Stage 1: Demolition & Preparation
The original project notes describe removing existing walls and construction debris, breaking up concrete and excavating soil to prepare for the waterproofing system.
Stage 2: Installation & Protection
The team installed a waterproofing and drain-pipe system, then covered it with stone and concrete. A thermal vapor barrier on the walls directed potential water toward the drainage system beneath the concrete floor.
Stage 3: Reframing & Renewal
After the concrete cured, the team returned to reframe the walls for the next phase. These historical notes describe this project; they are not a guarantee that the same method is suitable for every basement.
